KK Chiu who is the District Liaison Officer of Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU), has delivered us, recreation management students a meaningful sharing about his experience and thoughts over rugby and the development of community liaison for sports association in Hong Kong.

Moreover, Mr. Chiu mentioned Hong Kong has been revolving around grand occasion, elite and popularize in sports development recently. Yet, sports in Hong Kong are just developing in recreational sports temporarily instead of really developing sports. Professionalization is the most significant elements of developing sports in Hong Kong. Government should set up some sports council and allocate more resources to develop sports professionalization.
Furthermore, Mr. Chiu reminded us to keep in mind some liaison skills. For instance, knowledge of sports, communication, understanding, authorization and attitude as well as presentation skills, approaching, lobbying and negotiation are to be chosen wisely in different situations.
Last but not least, being passionate is the most important when we are situating in a real face-to-face association.

- Sports Federations (SF) & Olympic Committee (OC): which have a huge conflict of interest upon government resources distribution and selection of HK team athletes;

- HKRFU members; and
- Mass media
